See, told you we had a great tail to tell!
This is in Esperance and the ride was the most difficult of the trip so far….185 km with v sore ribs, and the wind was blowing 60 km/hr from the left-hand side and it had me going all over the road….v dangerous, but the Big One upstairs kept me safe!
West Beach in Esperance. The sand is A4 paper white and the beaches are stunning!
Twilight Beach…stunning also. This is part of a 40 km drive along the coast and it’s incredibly beautiful.
Lucky Bay, Cape Le Grande NP. Esperance was explored by French sailors in the 17th century, hence the name.
My ribs are getting better and today I rode 80 km up the Hwy towards Norseman. Will drive to where I stopped and kick on to Norseman tomoz, which is the beginning of the Nullabor Plain. And can you believe it, westerly winds are forecast for all of next week, which will make the trip to SA a very quick one indeed! I’m hoping for at least one day where I can ride 300km. 250 is my greatest distance so far, but with a strong westerly behind me and the flat terrain, 300 km is a possibility. Here’s hoping….ahhhhoooooooo!
Have raised $17 000 for the foundation. If you can help in any way, please do.
Heading off for an ABC interview in Esperance.
